Different sectors support parish hall renovation

Thursday, August 1, 2013

Different sectors in San Ignacio de Loyola Parish propped up in fund raising through candidates for Ms. San Ignacio de Loyola 13th Parochial fiesta for the renovation of the parish hall which is slightly damaged to make its parishioners comfortable whenever activities are held in the parish.

During the Parish Pastoral Council meeting, the officers proposed to have candidates different from what was done in the previous fiesta celebration which was by GKK. This time it was done by sector.

The groups responded to the proposal were the San Ignacio Tricycle Drivers’ Association (SITODA), The Women’s club, BLGU Old Macopa, DENR, Ronquillo and Dayanghirang Elementary School (RDES), BLGU San Ignacio, 4Ps, BLGU Holy Cross, and Manay National High School.

Each group had supported a candidate though money. They distributed envelops to gain the targeted amount in order to win and be crowned as Ms. San Ignacio de Loyola Parochial Fiesta 2013.

The candidate of the Manay National High School was Chiara Me Laguidong , a Grade 7 student. The PTA worked hard to raise fund for their candidate who was the only daughter of Mr. Chrisanthony and Mrs. Marife Laguidong.

In the last canvassing the effort of every group was compensated with their ranks. It was Chiara Me Laguidong, the Manay National High School candidate who garnered the crown for having the amount of twenty eight thousand pesos plus.

It was followed by the BLGU holy Cross as 1st runner up, 4Ps 2nd runner up, BLGU San Ignacio 3rd runner up , RDES 4th runner up , DENR, BLGU Old Macopa, Women’s club, and SITODA as 5th, 6th, and 7th runner up respectively.

The money contributed by these groups was a great help in the realization of this year’s project of the parish.
