Tuco endorses healthy lifestyle

To encourage the students to have a healthy lifestyle, Mrs. Josephine Tengson - Tuco, a Rural Sanitary Inspector III in the municipality of Manay gave a speech on July 28, 2009 at the Many National High School Campus.

  
She told the students to be good citizens and to have a healthy lifestyle for them to be healthy. According to her, those are the key to be vigorous in both outside and inside of the body. Mrs. Tuco also made it clear to the students that being healthy is the best way to have a longer life.
 
“It is a must that people should know what proper nutrition is.” stressed Mrs. Tuco as she continued.
  
Her speech was related to this year’s Nutrition Month’s Theme which was, “Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases ay Iwasan.”
  
In her speech, she also informed the students about the dengue fever and how it spreads in relation to the outbreak of dengue cases in San Ignacio. She told the students to clean their surroundings because according to her, having a clean surrounding is making yourselves immune from unwanted diseases.
  
“An ounce of prevention is better than pounds of cure.” said Mrs. Tuco as she ended her speech.
