best friends
by: Liezel Linogan

Today I met a great new friend
A very caring best friend
She listened absurdly
All I had to say…….
Funny, how she understands me
She seemed to just accept me
To all the problems I’ve been dwelt
She knew just how I felt…….

She didn’t interrupt me
Or need to have she says,
She just listened attentively
And didn’t go away…….

Who is God?

by: -sevenetsrik-

Powerful is He,
A savior and a king for me,
Amazing they see,
When He created thee…
He is also a leader,
A friend and a father,
That scarifies for the sinners,
And deserves to be loved forever…

He created the earth,
He gave us life and birth,
And He’s really good that,
He let us live with mirth…

Let’s come together,
And praise our Heavenly Father,
Watching His followers,
He will be happier…

Ouch….! It Hurts….!

by: -Lheg 11-

Others say that it’s a nice
Feeling to be in love
For teens, love is just like a game
For boys, girls is only their collection
But they don’t know, that BOYS
Are only accessories for GIRLS…….

God had made Adan to love Eva
And Eva was also made for Adan
But in this generation, BOYS were
Made to hurt the girls
BOYS, why….? What’s the reason….?

Promise here…..promise there……
That makes irritated the girls’ ear
GIRLS, be careful of what you feel
It makes your future fail……..

My Parents, I Salute on You!

parents
by: -Sevenetsrik Asor-

They give me life by making love,
They’re here on earth to give me care,
They make me glad by giving what they have,
And scold me when I get wrong...

They wash my clothes and cook my food,
They taught me how to read and write,
And would be happy to hear me call” Mama and Papa”
Look at my letters from A to Z….

Now that I grew they sent me to school,
And when I cried they made me cool,
When I got home they ask me “Why”
And when I said “I miss you all” They wear a smile.

They work so hard to support my needs,
They’re not that persons that are selfish and greed,
They are so good in words and deed...
That I thanked God for giving them all to me…

They are my inspiration…
Coz Im the reason of their perspiration,
Now, the fruit of their labor is my graduation,
Ma and Pa, you are always be part of my ambition…

Thank you for your sacrifices…
Im so sorry for my trespasses…
These words of mine are hard to tell…
My parents, may I say “I love you as well”…

Heard Prayers

heard prayers
by: Bella Lisa dela Cruz

There were once two sisters named Kristel and Allen who always fight with each other. Early in the morning their loud arguments are heard by their neighbors and their mother keeps on telling them to stop arguing but the two didn’t listen. Kristel is older than Allen and she can’t control her temper and emotions. On the other hand, Allen is a rebellious sister. She doesn’t mind fighting her older sister. Both have hard hearts that can’t forgive nor love one another.

Their loving mother finds way to let her daughters love one another. It was Christmas Eve when they went to the church. They thanked God for the blessings and asked for forgiveness for all the short comings they have done. Their mother was praying and wishing for her two daughters to be friends again.

The mass had ended, while they walked back to their house Kristel and Allen saw two sisters like them. They are street children who were searching for food to eat for the Christmas Eve. The two were not arguing nor fighting for the greatest share of food. They shared the food and the older sister gave the biggest share to her younger sister.

Kristel and Allen felt something in their hearts. It’s a feeling that made their hard hearts melt. After that Christmas Eve, the two sisters realized that one should always be patient and should have a heart full of LOVE. From then on, the two showed love and shared it to their mother who was very much happy because her wish came true and her prayer was heard.

To "The Movers"

To "The Movers"
by: _sevenetsrik_

For 3 years I’ve been working on you,
Interviewing and writing…
That’s what you want me to do,
You’ve taught me lot of things which I never knew,
And I wouldn’t be a journalist if it’s not because of you.

You have corrected my grammars or mistakes,
You let me make it right…Whatever it takes…
Because of you I write…
and don’t give my self a break,
For you are in need and I’m here to make…

Yes! I spent almost of my time with you…
But I enjoy working on the page of you…
I won’t regret that I’ve been part of you…
Instead, I’ll be proud and say Thank You…

If I can just stop the time I’ll do,
Coz it’s my last year to be with you…
It can’t be denied that I’ll be missing you…
The Movers, All that I can say is Goodbye
 and so much Thank you!!!

Students' Role in Saving the Nature

Friday, February 5, 2010

To our beloved panel of judges, co-orators, parents, teachers, students, visitors, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant day to all!

I stand before you today with the courage in informing you about very important facts about our Mother Nature.

STOP!.......... LOOK!........... and LISTEN!

STOP! And let your senses work. Some people in different parts of our country or in the whole world in general are suffering from the “Wrath of Nature”. Floods, frequent tropical storms, landslides and the exaggerated greenhouse effect --- the Global Warming.

LOOK! Our used to be “Virgin Forests” have been penetrated by illegal loggers. Our used to be “Crystal Clear Water” has been turned into blackish and stench liquid. Smog or the combination of Smoke and fog has been dominating the atmosphere of some highly industrialized cities around the world.

Here in our locality we can also observe the so-called Nature’s Revenge. An hour of continuous raining will flood our rivers or almost all low lying areas including our school. The temperature of the 7:00 o’clock sunlight is no longer healthy for our skin. It BURNS!

And now, LISTEN!

The “Climate Change” we are currently experiencing at the moment is the result of the negligence of men, of greed, and lust of power.

As students--- the younger generation, labeled as the Hope of Our Motherland, we play the great role in saving and preserving our nature from total destruction or saving the whole planet from the impending “Third Extinction”.

Let us start within ourselves. Let’s be vigilant against illegal loggers and watchful against ozone layer-depleting practices. Tree planting activities or reforestation will be effective if we put our heart in that particular activity. If we plant, we must see to it that it will grow. The trees are our fortress against nature-related calamities.

In our home or even in school, let us be a model for the rest of the students --- A model of a nature-lover citizen. We will inform our co-students that burning plastics will augment the global warming and contribute to air pollution. Let us practice proper waste disposal by separating the biodegradable from non-biodegradable garbage. Let us learn to value all the things GOD has given us. The trees, air, water, and the soil. They are important parts of our living planet.

By doing these simple things, we are reminded of the famous phrase during the first human landing on the moon:

“A small step for a man, a GIANT leap for mankind”.
