Division Science, Math quiz challenge students' intellect

The Division Science and Math quiz was a two-day activity that challenged the students' skills and intelligence. This affair was held at Matiao Central Elementary School and Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology with the theme "Adapting to Diverse Science Culture for Development".

There were 30-35 schools participated in the said event. Every school brought its won best participant. Others spent big amount of money just to attend this contest, and of course our school, the Manay National High School would not miss the event.

On the first day, the students gathered at Matiao Central Elementary School for the competition of Sci-Damath, On-the-spot Painting, Collage Making, and Science Investigatory Project(SIP) for elementary and secondary. Mrs. Juvy Montenegro, the MNHS' coach was designated by the Division personnel  as one of the judges for the SIP.

On the next day, the Quiz Bee was contested at Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology. This was a great day because all the participants showed their very best and exerted much efforts.

In the end, the victors were proclaimed. Luckily, participants from our school had their share of the winnings. Jim Apollo Tana got 5th place for Integrated Science, Homer John Reyes for Chemistry, Warren Grace Cosare for Biology, and Nicy Villalobos for Physics as 3rd and 2nd respectively. In Mathematics, Candy Feb Diabakid got the fourth place.
