Cloma accumulates division championship awards

The associate editor of The Movers, the official publication of Manay National High School, Jelenne Kaye M. Cloma harvested first prize awards in the division level
 during the Division Schools Press Conference and STEP Skills Competition held in Lupon Vocational High School on Sept. 2-4 and in San Luis National High School on Sept. 24-26 2009 respectively.

Cloma competed in the event of Copy Reading and Headline Writing with twenty other contenders from different schools of Davao Oriental both private and public.

When she heard her name called as the first place she could not believe.

 "I did not expect to top them all", she said with tears thanking the Lord God for her victory.

During the Division STEP (Student Technologists and Entrepreneurs of the Philippines) Skills Competition, she represented the Manay NHS in Electronic Poster Making event. There, with the expertise of her coach, Mr. Joel Bangahon, she reaped the first prize once again.

When asked about her secret in winning, she told us, that constant practice and prayer helped her a lot.
