Air Pollution

Thursday, March 20, 2014

On our way to school, we often run into some black smokes coming from different kinds of vehicles. We sometimes see smog (smoke and fog). All around us we have an unhealthy environment especially in the city. This has a harmful effect on us and other living things like plants. We get sick. Plants die.

But we are not alone in this problem. Other countries are affected too. Smog belts in other countries like United States and many others. Poisonous gases released from chemical plants have been carried. Smog spreads out. Gases, dust, and other pollutants are carried by the wind.

All over the world the situation is serious. But it’s not yet hopeless. Man will find a way. Man will survive. Here in our country, the National Pollution Control Commission and the Department of Health spread information on pollution control to the public. They also organized working groups to study and find ways to control pollution.
